This is a clip for programming a board that has solder pad for pin headers. This avoid to actually solder the header to the pad (leaving the board intact). Normally this kind of clip use pogo pins but I was in a hurry and didn't wanted to spend money on this so I got inspired by https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1265688 and wanted a custom version for a 4 pin SWD programmer (for a cheap CNC offline controller). This worked out well and this design is the result of it.

This is made to be printed without support and with any material. Both FDM and SLA should be possible. I printed mine in PLA on my Ender 3.

For assembly you will need:

  • a M3 screw for the hinge
  • a spring (I used 9.5x19mm, if you need a different diameter, please change COMP_SPRING_DIAMETER)
  • a pin header (+cable/soldering/glue). Change HEADER if you need a different number of pin.
