Meta Quest 2 Golf Attachment
Rough and ready addition to the PGA Tour branded 'Swing Weight & Training Grip Club' to attach an Meta Quest 2 controller.
The bezel/slider and 2x clips will need 4 small nut and bolts (m2 x 6) to assemble, then slipped onto the club and tightened (I used micropore tape to improve grip). The controller and grip part sit together with friction fit, which is safeguarded by wrapping cord around shaft when in place.
Its performance is pretty good after custom calibration in Golf+. With the weights, my club speed is reduced such that carry is about 80% of regular, but is a good workout. With weights off it's a little too light, but I might make a custom weight holder to compensate.
Created because the one I bought off the shelf broke, and was always putting too much tension into controller through straps (straps could be added to this one, but friction fit current works fine, and I may opt to add some more micropore tape to improve fit if it degrades).
It was also an exercise in learning OnShape as a 3D modelling tool. This is the explanation for the dodgy results - but they work so hey..
Credit to the original grip goes to 'griff_ivko2'.
Feel free to further hack it here (OnShape is quite good albeit far more complex/featured than tinkercad)
