You have options for printing style. The full blade/handle are included. As well as the files split down in half.
I printed the handle in two halves to avoid supports. Also added a slight texture to the sides with the “fuzzy skin” feature on the slicer. This gives your hand some grip and a wooden look to the handle. Also helps hold the bandage tape/fabric stay in place if you wrap the handle.
My preferred way was printing the blade is in half, outer face towards the smooth bed plate, with a smaller layer height half. I glue both halves together afterwards. That gave the outer faces of the blade a glossy look on both sides.
It also gave a jaged look to the blade edge small overhang. Use tree supports if printing this way and a brim to keep the blades from warping too much.
When using adhesives or stong chemicals, always remember to use proper PPE like disposable gloves, and face respirators if necessary.
