I have only printed these in resin, although they would probably print in FDM just fine with either a small enough nozzle or if scaled up a little bit.

For resin printing, I just print them standing straight up with some supports going about halfway up the outer rim of the coin.

I have included a split in half version if you would like to print them FDM. I would just suggest scaling them up because the small details will struggle through most normal-sized nozzles.

Post Processing:

For these coins, I basically follow a 4 step process: Clean Up - Light sanding over the support scars with 220 grit sandpaper then clean off well. Paint - I use Rustoleum Bright Coat Metallic Gold Spray paint, 2-3 coats is more than enough for these. Weather - Some watered down acrylic black paint directly into the cracks and crevices, then wiped off with a paper towel until I like the level of weathering. Clearcoat- I use Rustoleum 2X Matte Clear Coat to finish, although I’m currently looking for something that dries a little “harder.”
