Here's what you'll need to create your own Bella:

  • 4 metal plates, 15mm diameter x 0.3mm
  • 1 COB LED strip 3000-4000K White/Warm White 5V 1A
  • 1 USB power cable 5V 1A with a button (preferably touch and dimmable)
  • Superglue
  • Soldering iron
  • A copper wire to connect the LED strip to the power cable in the base Here's what you'll need to create your own skins for Bella:
  • 2 neodymium magnets for each skin, 15mm diameter x 1.5mm The printing material is PLA Plus.

How to Print Bella Print 1 piece for each component of the lamp, except for bolts and washers (you will need 3 bolts and 3 washers included in the print files). Use a 0.4 nozzle, 0.16 layer, monotonic pattern, 15% infill for the body and base with rectilinear geometry, 100% infill for the lampshade and lampshade cover. To make the lampshade more appealing and to hide the shadow of the LED strip inside, change the color around mid-height and add a band with Black PLA, then return to white.

How to print Skins Use a 0.4 nozzle, 0.16 layer, monotonic pattern, 15/20% infill with rectilinear geometry.

How to Color the Skins: Import the STL files into the slicer and use the coloring tools to paint the geometries according to your personal taste. You can follow the images I have posted or create the skins in the way you prefer and that best matches your style.

How to Assemble: Solder the copper wire to the LED strip. Fix the LED strip with superglue inside the lampshade at the level of the black band printed with the color change. Slide the wire through the body down to the base; insert the power cable into the base and join it to the copper wire either with a solder to which you will then need to add a piece of heat shrink tubing or a small wire connector. Insert the guides and fix each part with printed washers and bolts. Apply superglue to: metal plates on the body, lampshade cover, body cover, base cover, and then close the lamp. For the covers, after printing, apply the magnets with superglue and allow enough time for the adhesive to polymerize before using them.
