Celebrate World Sea Turtle Day June 16th, 2024!
I had to make a DOUBLE DROP this time! TWO more versions of my flexi baby sea turtle.
Meet The Rhubarb Pie (AND Rhubarb Pie Barbarian!) Sea Turtle, and the 90's Grunge Punk Rock Sea Turtles!
So...I wanted to do a dessert themed Sea Turtle, and I settled on Rhubarb Pie, since that German Tongue Twister Rap has been stuck in my head the past couple weeks. This turtle turned out super cute! It Prints in Place with a little slice of the turtle rhubarb pie that comes along with it. Super cute!
Second, I decided we needed a totally rad, super cool Mohawk on this turtle...and the 90s rock Mohawk Turtle was born. I borrowed some inspiration from a certain Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles villain for the hairdo. On this model, I also spent a lot of time segmenting the edge of the shell, so you can alternate the colors on the shell for some super fly color combinations!
The 3MF file includes my settings - 0.16mm layer height, 3 walls, gyroid infill @ 15%. Make sure you don't scale too small for the joints, I have successfully printed about 4 on the a1 mini at one time, for reference.
Super excited to release these guys to the public, I had a blast making them, and also learned a whole lot designing this go around, so I'm looking forward to putting my skills to use going forward!
