Chip Clip

A 100% printable chip clip.

Settings for printing the Spring:

Print Material: PETG ONLY (this design relies on the semi flexible properties of PETG)

Infill Percent: 100% (this is a critical one)

Perimeters: 3

Layer Height: .2

Supports: NONE

Print orientation: Place the spring sideways against the build plate (refer to Prusa Slicer file for reference)

Settings for printing the Upper and Lower plates:

Print Material: PETG ONLY (this design relies on the semi flexible properties of PETG)

Infill Percent: 20%

Perimeters: 3

Top Layers: 5

Bottom Layers: 5

Layer Height: .2

Supports: NONE (there will be some bridging but any cleanup will be minimal)

Color Change: The model as shown was printed with a color change starting on the 4th layer to create the white+black combo. Print the Upper and Lower together without the Spring and add a layer change to get this look. The Prusa Slicer .3mf file does NOT have this color change in it.

Print orientation: (See Prusa Slicer file)

Assembly:

Make sure the bridging on the Upper and Lower portions was clean. If not, remove any stringing to ensure the Spring fits in.

(watch the assembly YouTube video below, unless you prefer a small puzzle)
