Kid friendly RC!
While I havent posted new models in a few weeks its been plenty busy here in the lab. I will be releasing soon a very simple and easy RC project for beginners. The goal of this project was to build an inexpensive RC vehicle that children and parents can build together. The RC is based off ESP8266 and ESP32. It uses a WII Nunchuck to steer the vehicle. The entire car is 3D printed and requires only a few screws and zip ties to assemble. I'm wrapping up the wiki and software for the first version.
The car is easy to mod as well. Designed for slow speeds, the car moves around 2mph on 4 AA batteries. Those of you that want to up your speed, can change some components and get the vehicle up to around 3-5 MPH with a Lipo battery. The car runs on the simple yellow motors you see. Most makers have these parts often on hand which makes it easy to build.
Soldering is also very limited since most of the car can be assembled with dupont jumper wires.
In other updates you'll see models start flowing again this week. MRRF was wonderful and it was great to meet those that came to the event.
Thats all the updates for now, back to the lab to get these cars wrapped up for some 4th of July fun (I hope!)
