Inspired by Doric's wrist slingshot in the recent Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves, I wanted to make my own!
See it in action: https://youtu.be/ZnNQvNCqS1Y
There are files for three different sizes. I designed this for my fat arm (the size L), so I haven't tested to other sizes. If you need a specific size, let me know and I can add it!
Size L: 80x65mm Size M: 63x51mm Size S: 46x37mm
I printed the wrist plate in PETG, standing on its wider side, with tree supports and 50% infill and 4 walls/shells/perimeters. The prongs with 50% infill and 4 walls as well.
I designed the cradle to be printed in TPU. But if you can't, you can print it in PLA/PETG and use it as a template to cut a piece of fabric, soft plastic or rubber.
To assemble this, you need two M5 nuts and bolts at least 35mm long. Longer ones are fine, as you may see from my pictures... I didn't have perfect length bolts either.
Of course you also need a couple of strong rubber bands. I used two bands on either side.
I also used velcro strips to attach it to my wrist. The strap holes are big enough for lots of different sizes of straps as well.
This is also one of my entries to The Great Outdoors Contest. #OutdoorThangs
