#3DPNSpeakerCover This is a speaker cover that adjusts the amount of sound that gets reflected back. Having the power to adjust the sound gives more control over the sound. It uses an iris mechanism hence the name. The mechanism is based on https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:773759. The speaker cover template credit goes to the 3D Printing Nerd.
Instructions: Install the cover base first, making sure the bolt/screw heads are not taller than 5mm. Print 11 of each leaf's and leaf pins. Glue the pins so that the pin goes through the leaf hole. Then clamp the leaves to hold them better as you place then onto the bottom plate. Once all leaves are in position, glue 6 spacers onto the bottom plate and place the pivot gear onto the leaves. Add glue to the top of the spacers, and then place the top plate on the spacers. Finally, add glue to the cover base standoffs and attach the iris assembly. If you need a reference for the assembly of the structure (excludes the leaves), check out the stl named IrisSpeakerCoverComplete.
