Unicorns are real! The Sea Unicorn filament painting is 5 colors. I spent a lot of time on the color blending and adding extra depth for a nice 3D pop. This model will only be available to club members.

PLEASE READ INSTRUCTIONS FOR THIS ONE CAREFULLY (SWAPS & HRMs)

NO AMS - The pauses are already set up at the correct layer heights. You need to swap spools in the correct order below and follow your printers unload/load procedure for you filament swaps at each pause. It might pay to print the swaps below and cross them off as you go so you don't lose track.

1 AMS - This model has 14 color swaps as all colors are reused, but I think I have a good solution for this in this profile. I have set pauses for the layer prior to the filament changes so that you wont miss swapping the spools in the AMS. You only have to swap the two colors (Spools 2 & 5) back and forth 3 times in the same slot, which has to be preferable to printing with NO AMS and doing all 14 swaps manually. Once you have swapped out the spools just hit resume, and when it pauses again swap them back.

2 AMS - Load the colors in order, assign and print.

AMS SLOT GUIDE: The model colors will go in and be assigned to the following slots depending how many AMS units you have.

Print at 100% infill with a layer height of 0.08mm with a base layer of 0.16mm. The profile has two height modifiers to print the first 0.64mm @ 0.16 layer height as that is the min depth/non blended portion of the base color, and another HRM to print 2.72mm - 3.2mm @ 0.16 layer height, as there is no blending in this region as it is used to raise the narwhal to pop out of the background more. If you use a different slicer set all your color changes before doing the modifier as it changes the amount of layers, or use the #mm value instead. This shaves off approximately half an hour of print time.

DO NOT change the Z dimension. If you substitute filaments results will vary. If you have Hueforge you can import the STL and see how substituted filaments will change the outcome before printing. If you have questions hit me up.

I use the TD-1 to measure my filament opacity which is why you see the names I have assigned to them in Hueforge. This gives me an accurate prediction. Filament TD can vary from brand to brand and even from spool to spool.
