Hueforge Magnet Frame - 100x100
This is a Hueforge frame with 8 holes for 6x3mm magnets at the back for 100x100 (technically 108x108 read below) filament paintings. I have included two frames in this pack as the tolerance of the magnets I ordered varied a bit. One has holes that are 6.2mm and one has holes that are 6.3mm. I found that 4 magnets in the corners held really well on my fridge, but they are “rare earth magnets” so they may be stronger than some that others have hence the extra holes if needed.
This model works like the 200x200 V2 larger frame in that the paintings are actually 108x108 after a 108x108x0.64mm plate is merged to the 100x100 Hueforge model. This allows the entire picture to be displayed within the frame and in this case allows for the frame to have a slimmer profile.
Instructions:
Painting
Right click your build plate and add a primitive cube.
Non-uniform scale the cube to 108x108x0.64* (0.64 in my case. This should be equal to your “min depth” setting in Hueforge)
Import your 100x100 Hueforge Model
Center both the model and the primitive cube.
Merge/Assemble the two models.
Print with your trusty Hueforge profile and you should be good to go.
Frame
I printed it using the standard 0.2 Bambu profile which was 0.2mm layer height/15% grid infill and and two wall loops. You can cut a portion of the frame with the holes in the slicer if you want to test your magnets in the different hole sizes. It might be worth putting a negative modifier cylinder all the way through the hole so you can pop it out easily. I had to hammer in the one with the 6.2mm holes and the ones with 6.3 were a little loose so I used some gorilla glue and let them set over night. I would recommend cutting the end off of a Q-tip and use it to apply the glue inside the holes very sparingly.
