I made a smaller version of the Impossible Gear Fidget that fits a keychain ring for my daughters backpack. It prints in about a hour, less than 15g of filament. The gears and shaft rotate even though its printed in place with no supports.
Printed on the Mulcore

I've been printing these for a friend to sew inside Twiddlemuffs that she is knitting for people suffering from dementia. I scaled one print down to 75% just to see how it would turn out. It was fully functional except that the centre post doesn't spin.
I had my rook printing these at ERRF/3D Printopia this weekend ... an idea we had, what about a version that is 2 gears tall instead of 4, for faster demo prints?
Ok, I should be able to do that!
I printed it, and it spun immediately after removal but the gears did not work
Scaling it down without changing the nozzle would make it a harder print because its designed for a .4mm nozzle.
What settings do you use for printing it in an hour? Or is it just the mulcore that prints that fast? Cura slices it more around 2,5 hours with my settings for my ender 3
I'm printing at .2mm layer, 80mm/s and 3000 accelerations. It can run much faster but its really loud.
