Tognath were a sentient species that were native to the planet Yar Togna. The Tognath had a striking look thanks to their insectoid and mammalian characteristics; another factor was their having both an endo- and exoskeleton. They also possessed a very primitive nervous system, which provided them with immunity to most pain (a helpful trait in combat). The mercenaries Edrio "Two Tubes" and Benthic were members of this species.
This model is a wearable mask. The mask is quite big and is meant to be post-processed.
Files contain pieces of the mask ready to be 3D printed and complete helmet files, that are not cut into smaller pieces.
SCALE
At 100% scale the whole mask dimensions are:
Width approx. 331 mm
Length approx. 275 mm
Height approx. 367 mm
You can scale the model according to your head measurements. It is good to make it bigger and then add cushioning to the inside for a snug and comfortable fit.
PRINTER SETTINGS
As the mask is quite big, it is meant to be post-processed. We recommend a layer height of 0.1 to 0.3 mm on FDM printers. All parts are aligned to the printing platform for easy manipulation. Most of the parts need minimal or no use of printing supports to save printing time and filament. For reliable printing, we also recommend setting a brim to the helmets shell parts, because of their height and low thickness. It will ensure, that the parts will not come off the printing platform during the printing process. Printing settings will vary greatly depending on your specific printer.
