If you're looking for a fun Halloween 3D printing project - look no further 👻 These are the wall pieces for a magnetic tile haunted house.
3D Print Settings PLA Filament Layer height 0.2mm Infill 15% Brim recommended on 150x150 wall pieces to prevent warping Neodymium magnets needed: 20x5x2, 10x5x2 and 3x5 I strongly recommend using these size magnets. If you go larger it may not allow the magnets to rotate within their chambers. Magnetic build plate highly recommended but not absolutely necessary.
For all these pieces, add a pause print at layer 29 (layer height 5.8 mm) to insert the magnets. When the print is paused insert the magnets. I like to alternate these two size magnets between the magnets holes (20x5x2, 10x5x2,20x5x2, 10x5x2, etc.). I found if I used all 20x5x2 they were too strong and if I used all 10x5x2 it felt a little too weak. (See videos) The 3x5 magnet is used only in the Double Window Wall and Single Window Wall above the windows.
After the magnets are inserted, resume the print. That's it:)
I have also included a 3mf print profile with the following print plates: Print Plate #1 (150x150 Double Window Wall): one color, pause inserted at layer 29 (layer height 5.8mm), brim added Print Plate #2 (150x150 Porthole Window Wall): one color, pause inserted at layer 29 (layer height 5.8mm), brim added Print Plate #3 (150x150 Solid Wall): one color, pause inserted at layer 29 (layer height 5.8mm), brim added Print Plate #4 (150x75 Single Window Wall): one color, pause inserted at layer 29 (layer height 5.8mm) Print Plate #5 (150x75 Solid Wall): one color, pause inserted at layer 29 (layer height 5.8mm) Print Plate #6 (150x37.5 Solid Wall): one color, pause inserted at layer 29 (layer height 5.8mm) Print Plate #7 (75x75 Solid Wall): one color, pause inserted at layer 29 (layer height 5.8mm) Print Plate #8 (75x37.5 Solid Wall): one color, pause inserted at layer 29 (layer height 5.8mm)
