Sequential Discovery Puzzle Gift Box #1 (GBS1)
This is the first SD Puzzle I have created and also the most complex design I have ever undertaken. I believe it will be very fun and very challenging for people who like puzzles.
The puzzle is complex having approximately 28 components to it. It has hidden doors, sprockets, latches, and secret keys to name a few. It requires creative thinking and persistence to solve but in the end, it opens to a cavity in which you can put a prize, present or reward for the person opening it.
To keep the puzzle solution secret, limited details are available until you download the puzzle. Everything you need to know to print, build and solve the puzzle will be accessible after you download it. As well as instructions and clues for the person you give it to to solve it. The QR code tag on the puzzle links to instructions for the user. The QR code tag can be printed on paper or with an AMS.
The person trying to solve the puzzle needs no external objects or tools to solve it. But they will need some puzzle-solving aptitude and skill, logic, exploration, persistence, and maybe trial and error.
Three levels of clues (obscure, indirect and direct) are available for each step of the puzzle if needed by the person trying to solve the puzzle.
Depending on an individual’s puzzle-solving aptitude and skill, you can expect this puzzle to take somewhere between 20 minutes to 2 hours to solve. I have only had a few people test it so far but no one has solved it independently yet (I am sure someone will though).
I have created a small centrifugally unlocked box that is designed to fit inside this puzzle. It adds another layer of puzzle to the puzzle and works great. I highly recommend putting this inside the puzzle for added fun. That can be found at... https://than.gs/m/1266146

Revisions and Updates I occasionally update and revise my designs. When I do, I’ll document the changes here. Check back periodically for the latest revision notes or if you’re experiencing any issues with a model.
2024-12-19 16:52PM PST - I have uploaded a revised version of the bottom door. This version has improved geometry to accommodate the latches. It is not essential re-print if you have already printed the prior version but this one will make assembly slightly easier. The new part number is "GBS1 1v00b 611 Bottom Door.stl".
