Folding Door Wedge (Door Stop)
This is a handy and innovative fold-flat door stop that I can keep in your pocket, drawer, tool kit or just about anywhere.
This print-in-place folding wedge operates in two ways allowing it to accommodate an under-door gap from 8mm to 60mm. It is thin, light and strong making it ideal for any handyman or tradesperson who needs a door wedge with them.
It is a print-in-place design that requires nothing after printing. Simply take it off the build plate and put it to use. Simply fold the two sides together (they are limited to 100-degree angle) and stand it up under a door. Pull the door onto it and the door is stopped.
I used a 15-degree angle for the stop which creates a fairly low rise making it easy to wedge under doors. But that slow rise means one side does not cover a very large range - only 8mm to 35mm. So I made it two-sided allowing the second side to carry on with an additional range for holding more doors - 33mm to 60mm.
100% printed - no hardware, fasteners, or adhesives required. No additional support is required.
Print Settings:
Material = I recommend TPU or PETG but any material should work.

Layer height = 0.2mm
Line width = 0.4mm
Wall count = 4 (1.6mm)
Top and Bottom Layer Count = 5

2026-04-21: Posted a slightly revised version that will print in TPU in addition to other materials. TPU, if printed cleanly, gives this door wedge a little more flex and compression which is ideal for a door wedge. If you try it with TPU please let me know how it works for you.

Hello, would it be possible to include an STL file in the download? When I clicked on Download, I only got an .iges file. I do not use CAD programs so I haven't attempted to convert it to STL. Thank you.
Wow, thanks for letting me know about that. I am not sure what happened but it is fixed now. Thank you.
