I was framed!

Nice model, G! Thanks for your great designs.
Would it be possible to have a version of this where it's one piece? I have a multicolor filament that is perfect for it but as the color changes so quickly that separate piece ends up being a different color from the rest of the frame.

1/2 Hey, i just went into the assembly to check out how much work that would be - and due to some path dependencies this would be a little tricky. I think i have a better solution: The height difference between the two parts is 0.8mm - this is why the color change does not add up perfectly. You can lift the holder exactly 0.8mm from the build plate and have some support below - this way both surfaces come out at the same layer. Some slicers move parts to the build plate automatically

2/2 you would have to turn that off in the settings. In bambu studio there is no such setting so you would have to place both parts - merge them and then move the holder up in the per-object settings. This is a little workaround. If you have more questions or need help with this - feel free to join the mebers discord via the thangs integration in your settings here! I am reachable very easily there!
