So i've been on the quest to make the interior of my nb a bit "friendlier" and was looking for a neat phone holder.
Sure you can buy the clip-on-the-air-vent things with the magntic holder, but i hate hanging stuff where stuff should not be hanging, especially when loose cables are going to be dangling from said stuff.
So i came up with this contraption. It makes use of the blank on the left side of the dash of almost all pre-Facelift NBs and stands off far enough to cover the dip in the dash, so that the magnet and thus the phone can sit flush.
There's a place to route the cable out of the bottom and a slot for it to sit in when not in use. The hole on the right side is used to screw on the magnet. The hole and the slot may need adjusting to fit your exact magnet and cable
