When grocery shopping, I rely on my Tesla Model 3 (see other design) right side hanging hook to keep the grocery bags upright. That's fine for up to two of my shopping bags, but when I have more than two, I have no more hooks, until now!
On the left side of the trunk, I hadn't found an equivalent mounting point. Instead. my approach is to repurpose a trim plug hole on the trunk left side, just above the light. I removed the nylon push plug, revealing a 10mm hole into a steel panel. I fitted into the 10mm hole a M6 rivnut, establishing an anchor point. I designed and 3D printed a hook that I screw into the new anchor point with a 25mm M6 bolt.
To be clear, my car is a Tesla Model 3 LR 2021 built in China. This hook design approach maybe applicable to other Tesla vehicles, too. If so, please leave me a comment.
My print is made in eSUN PETG Black 1.75mm filament, with 0.2mm layer height, 5 wall loops and 15% infill on a Bambu X1 Carbon printer. Print supports are not required.
I hope that you can find this print useful, too. If so, you can support my work by buying me a coffee … Buy Me a Coffee
