Description
This is a "remix" of the Open Builds C-Beam XL Plate that uses slides instead of wheels.
Slides freely with almost no friction even when dry. Adding oil makes it glide.
Printed in PLA for stiffness (4 walls, 25% infill, 5 top/bottom layers). You may need to fiddle with slicer settings to get just the right fit, if you're using Cura I recommend trying the "Experimental > Slicing Tolerance" setting (I used "Exclusive")
Story
I was having trouble with how finicky it was to set up the V Wheels on C-Beam and get just the right tension and even after was still having trouble with the plates getting skewed under load. Then I saw someone using a sliding piece inside V Slot and thought I'd give it a try. Ended up working way better for me, without any fiddling to adjust it, and virtually no more skewing. Sturdy enough to cut wood.
