We have a 100+ year old building that originally had school house type lights in it. We have an issue with shaking in the house causing the fixtures to loosen up, and the glass globes to fall and break. These lights are in a room that small children are frequently in, soI thought if i were to make a plastic globe, not only could i tighten them up more, but if they happened to fall they may not break, and wouldn't leave glass shards around.
There are two models. SchoolhouseLight is a model that is solid, and I am working on printing in spiral vase mode. I have had to significantly alter the shape to allow for this type of printing. I also have SchoolhouseLight2 which more closely matches the actual fixture. Printing SchoolhouseLight in vase mode on my Bambu A1 takes ~2.5 hours, and SchoolhouseLight2 is estimated to take 24 hours, so I would much rather get the first one to work. I plan on printing this out of transparent PETG, and I plan to only use LED lights.
