Cloak Hood - Hexagons and dragon scales
This file is a more advanced undertaking. If using a 256mm x 256mm build plate, this file is printed in 9 pieces, assembled into 3 larger pieces (left side hood, right side hood, and center hood), before sewing onto a base fabric for finishing. Because this project involves higher clearance, a decent understanding of a zipper foot or hand sewing is recommended.
Like other prints - the first layer is printed, a pause command is inserted before layer 2 starts, and the print is resumed. The hexagons are .64mm tall, recommended .24mm initial height, .4mm nozzle, .2mm regular height. The dragon scales are printed at .24mm initial height, .4mm nozzle, .2mm regular height. 0% infill should be needed.
There are two options for the middle section, continuing the hexagon pattern, or a remixed dragon scale pattern (Thank you @shoreydesigns!)
The additional shine was achieved by using a holographic build plate, and printing so the first layer is the top surface of the printed fabric. The second finish was achieved by using a concentric pattern in combination with a tri color filament on a textured pei plate.
Print time - 1d7h31m not including pauses, placing of fabric Weight - 312 grams for dragon scale version, 95 grams for hexagons only
