The picture frame
The winner of the last Poll is finally here!
As previously told in the wall shelf story I am really happy that I finally have good trametes scans. I therefore wanted to also use them on this slightly overdue project. It has been the winner of the latest members discord poll – but I was busy for quite a while with the Amanita Muscaria lamp.
This took more prototypes than expected. I initially thought this would be done and dusted after maybe three construction tests, but it turned out to be 10+. I could not quite find a decent solution for the “closing” of the frame without overengineering the thing and making it difficult to print in the process.
Once again US and EU sizes gave me a little headache but with a little research, I found that the most commonly used sizes are almost identical. With a little wiggle room, I could therefore make this cross-continent version. What I almost forgot about is that the thing needs a horizontal version, too!
In terms of framing, you can use nails, magnets or tape – the provided holder works as desktop solution. I kept it to one “size” as of now since this was already taking too much time.
In combination with the little scans from the shelf you can really make a special picture shine.
