I finally found a way to integrate a pencil compartment into my notebook design! Since this is my personal favorite design, this is great news! It was bothering me slightly that I always had to carry two things – and often forgot the pencil case.

By using a second rubber band that presses the covers onto the pen and fixes it in position with no chance of falling out I solved this long-standing problem. I wanted it to be usable with all sorts of pens and not restrict it to a certain size. With this construction you can even use a thick one with a clip. Everyone has their own pen / pencil choice which I want to respect. It has always been BIC fine for me, but your choice might differ.

The other features such as being refillable with regular copy paper and just using standard household rubber bands stay the same in regard to the older version.
