I’m thrilled to share my newest shadow box design, inspired by one of the most iconic settings in the Star Wars universe. This piece captures a moment that blends nostalgia, melancholy, and power: Darth Vader returning to the world where it all began.

This design layers the warm tones of Tatooine’s twin suns with a silhouette that needs no introduction. The broken-edge Death Star frame pulls the scene forward and gives the whole piece a striking contrast when the layers stack together.

Printing Notes

This one shines with soft desert tones, warm yellows, and those unmistakable suns. Matte or textured filament works especially well for the background layers. The foreground looks best in deep black or dark charcoal to give Vader that crisp silhouette.

• Multi-color plates: Optimized for color swap printing on a single layer (great for MMU or manual swaps).
