Halloween in Layers - Horror Legends: Michael Myers
The ninth figure stands silent, watching, waiting.
This version of Michael Myers captures the chilling stillness that defines him. The layered design builds up the cold mask, the hollow eyes, and the heavy folds of his coveralls, giving the piece a haunting realism. There is no motion, no expression, just that familiar, unsettling calm before the next step forward.
I used shades of grey, off-white, and dark blue to build contrast without losing the simplicity that makes the character so unnerving. The minimal palette keeps the focus on the shape and shadows, letting the layers do the storytelling.
Tips for Makers:
- Use matte greys and whites to keep the mask and clothing flat and lifeless.
- A slightly speckled or marble white gives the mask a subtle aged look.
- Keep the background matte black for the strongest silhouette.
