Introducing my very first sponsored project. When Bambu Lab released their new translucent PETG filament I've reached out to them with an idea that have been thinking about for a while now, a model that resembles a stained glass window. Their translucent filament is a perfect fit for this.

I was pleasantly surprised that they agreed and liked the project idea, so they sent me a batch of translucent PETG filament to get things started.

There were a lot of ideas to choose from, but the space shuttle stuck with me, since I'm a big space nerd, so that was an obvious choice for me.

Designing it was quite challenging because the color of the translucent filament varies on the thickness of the part. It took quite some test printing to get the best color and transparency, but eventually I was able to find the right balance and finished up the model.

The filaments I've used are all Bambu Lab filaments. The parts that resemble the stained glass are printed in Translucent PETG Light Blue, Orange, Brown and Grey. Only the white parts are printed in a PETG that's not part of the translucent filament line. Those are printed in Basic PETG Transparent.

The front and back frame are both printed in Basic PETG Black. All the other parts are all printed in Basic PLA. The box, lid and led panel or led strip holder are printed in the color black, the diffuser is printed in the color white.

The box and the lid have little compartments where you can glue in magnets (width 6mm & height 3mm) but this is optional and not needed to keep the lid on the box.
