Just because they're from another world doesn't mean they can't celebrate Earthly traditions!

Introducing a new Rejected Animal : The Zørp-O'-Lantern. The full body model is available for Thangs Members here.

Printing Guidelines

This amicable alien prints in several parts that are glued together for a clean and colorful result. All parts print without supports, though brims can also be useful for print bed adhesion.

A small layer height will help capture all the details, but overall your standard print settings should work fine. Here's what I used:

  • 0.08-0.12mm layer height
  • 2-3 shells
  • 10% infill
  • 5 top/bottom layers

I also like using PrusaSlicer's Seam Painting feature to hide the seams along the back of the model.

I modeled this to be as small as possible while still being printable. Feel free to scale up as you please! (Photo shows 180% scale)

Assembly

I used E6000 adhesive to glue all the parts together, but cyanoacrylate works too if you prefer a quick-setting adhesive.

Photographed model was printed at 180% scale using Polymaker PolyTerra Matte PLA (US direct) and Aqua Glow-in-the-Dark PLA for the eyes.
