Adult Human Skull

The skull is a bone protective cavity for the brain. The skull is composed of three types of bone: cranial bones, facial bones, and ear ossicles. Two parts are more prominent: the cranium (pl.: craniums or crania) and the mandible. In humans, these two parts are the neurocranium (braincase) and the viscerocranium (facial skeleton) that includes the mandible as its largest bone. The skull forms the anterior-most portion of the skeleton and is a product of cephalisation—housing the brain, and several sensory structures such as the eyes, ears, nose, and mouth. In humans, these sensory structures are part of the facial skeleton.

Forest Spirit Skull

In the ancient, untouched depths of the Eldergrove Forest, a timeless legend speaks of a mystical being known as the Forest Spirit. The origin of the Forest Spirit is shrouded in mystery. Some tales suggest it was once a great tree, imbued with the wisdom and knowledge of the forest. When the tree eventually fell, its spirit transcended its physical form, manifesting as the Forest Spirit Skull to continue its role as a guardian. Others believe the spirit is a manifestation of the forest’s collective consciousness, a being born from the harmony and balance of nature itself.

Clown Skull (Rictus)

IMG_3521.jpg

In the shadowy corners of circus history, there lies a tale of a clown named Rictus, known for his unmatched ability to evoke both laughter and fear. Rictus was no ordinary entertainer; his performances were infused with an unsettling aura, a blend of joy and terror that left audiences both mesmerized and uneasy. Whispers among the circus folk hinted at a dark secret—Rictus’s laughter was said to be a curse, trapping the souls of those who heard it within his painted visage.

As legend has it, Rictus’s final performance ended in tragedy. On the eve of a fateful show, a fierce storm swept through the circus, and Rictus disappeared without a trace. When the storm cleared, the only thing left behind was his skull, adorned with the remnants of his clown makeup. Over the years, the skull became an object of fascination and fear, known as the Clown Skull. It is said that the skull harbors the spirit of Rictus, forever cursed to wander the realms between life and death.
