UPDATE 3/20/2023:

I've updated the design a bit so that it fits better inside the vacuum. It now resembles the original part a bit more.

V2 Changes:

  • The underside now has a hollow cone shape.
  • The part is shorter so it fits better
  • Zero supports needed
  • The center hole is slightly smaller so it fits the shaft tighter.
  • The part is now 4-5 grams lighter.
  • New photos to the post so you can see how it's installed.

Description: My Dyson DC23 canister vacuum stopped spinning the brush heads. I took it apart and found that the impeller was broken and could not longer hold itself to the metal shaft in the head.

I did not want to buy a $100 part or a new vacuum so I designed this replacement impeller for my Dyson vacuum.

I've had it installed for about 8 months prior to this post and have had no issues or problems with it.


This part is verified working the the following part:

Turbine head Part no. 906565-32 https://www.dyson.com/support/journey/spare-details.906565-32.19076-01

It might work with other models but I don't know which ones. If you do know, please leave a comment.

  • PRINTING - Max infill of 30% otherwise it will be too heavy PETG or better. (PLA might work)

My print settings (0.6mm Nozzle): Material: PCTG Nozzle: 0.6mm CHT Layer Height: 0.2mm Walls: 2 Infill: 25% Gyroid Temperature: 260C
