The SOM Cruise Missile is a new generation cruise missile designed by TÜBİTAK SAGE that can be launched from fixed-wing air platforms with high hit capability. The missile was first exhibited on the first day of the protocol at IDEF 11, held on 10-13 May 2011, but was removed from the exhibition on the second day. Fuze was presented to the public on June 4, 2011 at İzmir Çiğli Air Base at the 100th anniversary celebrations of the Turkish Air Force. Designed missiles since 2006, with Turkey's domestic facilities, to hit stationary and moving targets 180 km away from the bird's eye first to produce missiles. [3] [5] The production and international marketing job responsibilities of the missile were assigned to Roketsan.The 5 main versions of the missile, A, B1, B2, C1 and C2, and the SOM-J version with folding wings and smaller size are planned to be carried in the fuselage of F-35 aircraft.
