[New Files!] The Royal Guard helmet has been added to the Specialist rewards!
It's time we get back to some good ol' Star Wars releases! With the Acolyte on the horizon I expect to work on a few things from that as well! The Vader helmet is also nearing completion - just got to add a few more special features ;)
The Royal Guard helmet has always been an iconic one for me but one with a daunting task of finding a way to separate it well. I think we've done a pretty good job at that! You'll see it's split up along the major features of the helmet but in a way that doesn't leave weak spots or messy seam lines to fill.
The dome for example sits "inside" the wrap piece so it can be sat flat on the print bed. Sure there are some parts that just have to be split up but you'll find them all in the Pre-Cut for Smaller Printers folder!
Jump right into printing with the included Bambu Studio Project and GCODE files as well! Use the included visor cutout template to trace out the visor shape that can sit inside a pre-modeled ridge. We opted for a ridge instead of the typical channel since the faceplate is optimized for printing upside down with minimal supports.
The default scale of the helmet is pretty forgiving and can fit up to 24.5" circumference heads by default. It also includes a Sizing Slice file to test print before committing to the whole thing to see if any scale adjustments are necessary.
Assembled versions of the helmet are also included - featuring a classic assembled version, a casting version with a visor stand-in, and a filled and solid version for miniature printing.
Hope you all enjoy and have a great weekend!
