Poo Plucker - Mechanical hand for picking up dog poop - Built in bag dispenser
Don't have a 3D Printer? My models print great with These Printers (affiliate)
Made in collaboration with Status Symbol
The Poo Plucker!
Silly? Maybe. Useful? Absolutely. This design was inspired by those claw machines with stuffed animals inside. But instead of winning a stuffed animal, you win Poop! lol. I included a built in poop bag dispenser to wrap around the fingers, and a replacement bag in the handle. Special thanks to Status Symbol for conceptualizing this model and paving the way with his prototypes.
How does it work? There is a spring on the axis that pushes the fingers open. When the trigger is pulled, the axis is pulled back which closes the fingers. By the way: the spring is the same spring as the Cactus Toothpick Holder, to make things easier if you already did (or want to) print that model.
Print in Place? The entire top section of the grabber is designed to print in place to make assembly super easy. A few screws, snap in trigger, and sliding handle and you're ready to start playing with, and cleaning up after your pet. Getting this design to print in place was just as mind bending as it seems, but its finally working great (:
Components Needed: Spring: 20 mm x 50 mm Spring (Same spring as the Cactus Toothpick Holder)
Poop Bags (there are two kinds of poop bags out there, some that open at the front, and some that open at the back. You need the kind that open at the front to use the built in dispenser easily)
Filament that I Used: Finger Color: Kingroon Skin PLA Handle Color: Esun Bone White
