Kudos to AlbChronos on their excellent design!

The reasons for this remix are:

  1. to eliminate use of supports where possible,
  2. to get the holders to print laying down, for increased strength,
  3. to reduce the amount of plastic used, thus reducing print time,
  4. to offer an option for use of a metal rod in the spool holder axle,
  5. to correct a lack of clearance on the "floor" mount version (no longer offered in the original thing, as of last check on May 23, 2021).

The changes in this remix are:

• Tweaks to the "Floor_platsa_spool_holder" so it can be printed with no supports needed, printed laying down, printed in a shorter time, and printed with needed additional clearance.

• Tweaks to the "Top_platsa_spool_holder" so it can be printed with no supports needed, printed laying down, and printed in a shorter time.

• An alternate version has been added for "Spool_holder_axel" to allow for use of a metal rod, 5/16" diameter, 104mm length, to attach the 608 bearings to. This alternate version also can be printed without supports. Use 2 of the accompanying printable plastic washers, or metal washers. (Note: the original "Spool_holder_axel" is also provided in case you don't intend to buy and and cut a metal rod for use.)

A 5/16" (0.3125") diameter rod is available at most hardware stores in North America. For comparison, 0.3125" = 7.9375 mm. The inner diameter of a 608 bearing is 8mm.
