Pineapple springo? Say no more...

This is the half-scale version of my Pineapple Springo, part of the Tasty Springos Pack which you can check out here.

I got the best results printing with 3 outlines/shells, 0.15mm layer height, and enough solid top & bottom layers to make the spring part solid infill. No supports required.

After printing, carefully separate the coil using a thin spatula, palette knife, butter knife, etc. Work slowly and with caution, especially if you are using sharp tools!

Springos pictured were printed using MatterHackers PRO PLA (Clear, Blonde, Green) and Fillamentum Vertigo Galaxy PLA

I printed this in 3D-Fuel's Tough Pro PLA+ to avoid any cracks from standard PLA's brittleness. It turned out WAY better than expected! The fact this came off the printer blows me away.

hey Devin, it is me again. so I have tried a lot of other things, but your stuff is so appealing. I have been wanting to do a print but as you know nothing has not been really working and all the springs I have tried have been stiff or just failed so my friend (aka the person who gave me the printer) told me to change some settings but I don't know how to change the ones he told me to change... extrusion multiplier 99%. reduce nozzle temp by 5 max speed 30mm/s (this is on a FLASHFORGE)

can you make the top of the pineapple level so that this springo can stand upside down? IYKYK

Can this be scaled up or down?

Generally these can't be scaled much without messing up the layer adhesion between the coil. That's why I have a larger and smaller version for my members. If you scale nozzle size, layer heights, etc along with the model, though, maybe you'll have some luck!
