Obi-Wan's Replaceable Blade Lightsaber
Obi-Wan Kenobi Collapsible Lightsaber Replaceable Blade Version
This version of the lightsaber hilt has a screw on cap so the blades can be printed separately then inserted or replaced. External supports are not required but there are some built in supports for the buttons, be sure to remove them after printing. The blades can be printed all at once concentrically or individually in vase mode.

I have had trouble printing in the vase mode. I've had to scale down the first part of the blade so it will fit properly into the hilt, but when I try to do the next segment (even after scaling it down) it still doesn't fit properly. I use Cura slicer. Can somebody help? I'm trying to print this for my friend, so I need to finish this soon.
In vase mode you don't want to scale, instead chance the size of your line width.
so i have been trying to print this for a few hours now using creality slicer, and my line width is at 1.5mm, but it seems like the gap between parts is being scaled the same... i went from .94 to 1.14 strait to 1.5 because im impatient, but it doesnt seem to tighten the fit. i have also kept the scale at 100% every time
Are you printing in vase mode? If not, it wont have an affect.
The Sith Blade fits fine.
Yep, its just a little shorter.
How do you get it to easily collapse? It really locks in place and is very hard to collapse.
I hold the hilt in my hand and squarely smack the blade against the table. I try not to extend it to fast so that doesn't happen.
cant turn top layers on in spiral vase mode (Prusaslic3r) any Ideas?
Slice the model twice. Once in vase mode, the second "normal" with your defined top layers. Then open both gcode files in editor and copypaste the end prtion of the "normal" model over the same height portion of the vase gcode. Do a test print first (plane cut in PrusaSlicer) to find the exact settings you need.
will the blade from the sith lightsaber fit this one?
yes, but its a little shorter
Great model!
