Midnattssol Ornament // Midnight Sun Hanging Pendant
This ornament represents the 'midnattssol', the phenomenon of an ever-present sun during summers near the arctic circle. Inversly, the same regions experience almost no daylight during the depths of winter. As a new resident to scandenavia, I designed this print during the darkest part of the year to remind me of brighter days. Wherever you are on this planet, you might enjoy this print as an homage to the star that enables all life on this planet.
This model is split into two parts, which are simply glued together using cyanoacrylate (superglue) or the adhesive of your choice. You can also just print part A if you don't mind one flat side.
I used Sunlu Tri-Color Red Yellow Green Silk PLA filament for an extra vibrant ornament! It complement this model really well, but I'd love to see how it looks in the material of your choice :)
Default print settings should work just fine. I decreased bottom solid layers to 3, but kept the rest of the standard settings at 0.16mm layer height. (15% infill)
The loop is 2mm in diameter. I imagine it would also be fun to glue in a photo or other interesting material in the center (experimentation is always encouraged!)
