This compact, useful bolo tie mechanism works with regular 550 Paracord. Upgrade your hoodie drawstrings, make fun neclaces and bolo ties, and more, using these fun and functional prints!

This kit includes a Bolo Tie clip for 550 paracord (3-4 or 4-5mm versions depending on the specific thickness or the cord and amount of tension you want). Star and Heart variations are included. Additionaly, you'll get some round beads and end caps that hide the knot at the end of the paracord. Use colorful filaments and paracord to further customize your makes to be uniquely you!

Printing Guidelines

The Bolo comes in a 3-4 and 4-5mm sizes. Both are for 550 paracord, but not all cords are created equal. A good quality, thick 550 cord will work well with the 4-5 size, but if there is not enough tension, try the 3-4 version. The Bolo tie is 2 parts (A and B) that snap together over the paracord (see images for reference). Prints fine with default settings (0.16mm layer height). Use 3+ shells and ASA/ABS or similar filament if you want it to be washer/dryer safe (if using for a hoodie drawstring, for example).
