"Holy" Tree Tealight Topper #3

I needed several spool holders and I couldn't find anything quite right for me, so I created this attractive, super simple, yet surprisingly sturdy spool holder that is entirely 3D printed and snaps together. The standard version is designed to fit most filament spools up to 1 kg, plus there's a wide version for spools up to 90mm wide.

I suggest printing with 2 shells and 10% infill

The top rests on the holder for easy spool removal, and the bottom legs snap into place to hold the sides together. Depending on the accuracy of your printer you may have to use an adhesive like [E6000](https://amzn.to/45dl0Ix).

Print 2 of the sides, 2 of the legs, and 1 top part.

A Sturdy Simple Spool Holder

Simple toothpaste squeezer to help get that last bit of toothpaste out of the tube.  I've personally printed a couple for around the house.  I've even had one get warped after going through the clothes dryer but it still gets the job done.  They're simple and work great!

**Printing Tips**
No supports necessary and under an hour print time!  I printed using marble PLA on the Prusa i3 MK3.

An excellent hook for all your pegboarding needs! This EZPZ pegboard hook prints quickly without supports, and features a unique clipping system that snaps onto your pegboard so it won't accidentally fall out, but it can also be removed in a non-destructive manner!

This particular hook has a 20mm depth and a shallow angle. You can check out my other hooks for different sizes, or leave a comment to request something specific!

**_Printing Guidelines_**

Print solid. That's it!

The footprint is quite small, so make sure you have a well leveled build plate and good adhesion. You may need to slow down your first layer speed or even add a brim if you're having trouble getting the prints to stay down.

These are designed for standard pegboards with 0.25" holes spaced 1" apart, and roughly 0.25" thick.

To install, first insert the top peg, then pop in the bottom clip. You can press the clip from below while inserting if you have a fragile pegboard.

To remove, just to the reverse, pressing from below so the clip can be removed. You can use a flathead screwdriver to press the clip up further, especially if you have a fragile pegboard.

A lantern in 3 parts 

Depending on how good your printer/filament can handle bridging, you can probably print all of this without supports - I did

Other that it can be printed with just your standard settings and the lantern itself should be printed in vase/spiralise mode with no top or bottom layers

This lid should be printed upside down with the top of the lid on your print bed - this eliminates the need for supports for this piece

There is space in the base to sit an electric tealight and also a cut out for the lantern to sit in so it won't shift when moved

The lid should fit snugly though tolerances will vary a little by printer. There is a notch in the lid to help with removing it

It's the wonderful rolly, twisty, magnetic magnificence of my [Astrolabicon Puzzle](https://than.gs/m/914605)... but mini! Great if you want an easier puzzle without losing that fun fidgetability (yup, I made up two words in the first paragraph)

Rotate the two halves of this twisting sphericon and move the marbles along its shifting track to rearrange them until all like colors touch. The classic difficulty is to have 4 different colors, with 3 marbles of each color for a total of 12. Lil Astro has been designed for use with [14mm ABS or Acrylic no hole beads ](http://bit.ly/PuzzleBeads)(actual diameter is ~13.6mm) or standard 9/16" marbles! 

Just like the Astrolabicon Pro, this puzzle includes a clip that snaps the two halves. It also uses 8 [6mmx3mm (1/4"x1/8") neodymium magnets](https://amzn.to/3Qtm6f6) for a smooth and satisfying snap between positions. The magnets should fit snugly in the holes and you may need to use a flat surface to press fit the magnets flush. I also use [E6000 craft adhesive](https://amzn.to/3OHX22J) to make sure the magnets are absolutely fixed in place. I like to use ABS filament for the clips for longevity, but I've also successfully used PLA and PETG.

This download also includes my _assembler.stl_ part, which makes it easier to snap the two halves of the puzzle together, since it can be a bit tricky to close without losing your marbles... although it's much easier with this simpler version of the Astrolabicon.

A really well tuned printer will be able to print this entirely without supports, even though there are some tricky overhangs. If you do decide to print with support material, block supports for the center hole and magnet holes, as those areas bridge just fine.

 

**Default print settings:**

• _lil-astro.stl_ - 0.1 to 0.2mm layer height*, 3-4 perimeters/shells, 6-8 top/bottom layers, 10%-15% infill (print 2)

• _clip.stl_ - 0.2mm layer height, print solid

• _assembler.stl_ - 0.2mm layer height, 3 perimeters/shells, 8 top/bottom layers, 10% infill

 

*Lower layer height tends to help with printing support free. I use 0.12-.15mm

Print settings are pretty lenient with this model. Adjust based on your own printers capabilities.

Lil Astro Puzzle // Mini Astrolabicon

Keep cables from slipping off your desktop with this simple clip. Just stick some [double sided VHB tape](https://amzn.to/47Ipbyn) on the bottom to affix it to your work surface. For cables up to 4mm in diameter.

EZPZ Cable Clip

Part of my [Folding Polyhedra Pack](https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-81865)! These dice print unfolded so they can be more balanced (although it's certainly not perfect yet). This also leads to nice surface finish and allows for using the [multipass printing technique](https://makeanything.design/multipass-multicolor/) for multicolor prints with a single extruder. There's also a single color version ( though you can still do a filament swap after the first couple of layers for the dots to be a second color).

Print. Snap into place, starting with the loop of four sides, then the remaining two opposite sides.

I found these to hold together really well printed with [MatterHackers PRO PLA](https://bit.ly/PRO-PLA), but it's not a bad idea to use a drop or two of cyanoacrylate (super glue) or [E6000](https://amzn.to/445wSLT) to be absolutely sure it doesn't come apart.
