Halloween in Layers: Frankenstein’s Monster
The fifth creature in the collection has come to life.
This take on Frankenstein’s Monster captures the quiet power and sadness behind the legend. Built up through layered tones of grey, off-white, and dark blue, the design gives weight to every scar and shadow. The layering adds structure and presence, making the figure feel heavy and grounded, like it was pieced together in a storm.
I chose a mix of cool greys and marble whites for the skin to create a pale, lifeless tone, while the dark blue adds depth and contrast. The result is classic and restrained, a tribute to one of horror’s most enduring icons.
Tips for Makers:
- Use subtle variations of grey to define texture and depth.
- Try metallic or satin finishes on the bolts and darker areas.
- A matte black background frames the figure perfectly.
