GearBin – Mini Mechanized Trash Bin
GearBin™ – Mini Mechanized Trash Bin | Fully 3D Printable with Gear-Driven Lid with Folding Bag Frame
GearBin™ is a fully 3D printable mini trash bin with a unique mechanical twist. Designed for use with biodegradable dog waste/poop bags as liners, it’s the ideal solution for food scraps, backyard clean-up, BBQ prep, or anywhere you want a tidy, compact bin that works smarter - even your desk.
I chose to use biodegradable dog waste/poop bags for this because they are a fraction of the cost of biodegradable kitchen bags and smaller so you can discard them more frequently at a lower cost.
There is also a wall mounting bracket included so you can hook the GearBin onto the back of a cabinet door or wall.
Ideal For Office or desk Kitchen countertops Outdoor prep areas and BBQ stations Composting and daily food waste Eco-conscious homes using dog poop bags for liners
Features
✅ Gear-Driven Push Lid: Open the lid with a simple press on the front bar—no electronics, just clean, mechanical magic. ✅ Folding Liner Frame: The innovative push-push mechanism folds the bag frame inwards for easy loading and unloading of liners. Holds standard dog poop bags securely. ✅ 100% Snap-Fit Assembly: No glue, screws, or springs. Just print, snap-together, and you're ready to go. ✅ Optional Bucket: Use with or without a removable bucket (included) to catch leaks and assist with liner removal. Or use with the bucket and without bags.
Make trash collection cleaner, smarter, and more efficient—with GearBin™, the mini bin that thinks big.

Assembly Notes I will have an assembly instruction video posted shortly.
Revisions and Updates I occasionally update and revise my designs. When I do, I’ll document the changes here. Check back periodically for the latest revision notes or if you’re experiencing any issues with a model.
2025-05-26 Model Updated (revisions 1v00a3)
I have revised the Lid and Lifters so that the lid lifts up vertically before rotating. This was the original intent but I realized after posting it I had slipped away from that.
I have also added a wall mount bracket. And, in order for the GearBin to attach to the wall mount, a new Top Housing has been posted that has mounting holes in the back.
Lastly, if you were one of the first few people to download the model, I have also posted revised versions of the Compliant Index, this newer one operates the push push mechanism more consistently.

![Super Tolles Design!
Druck und Zusammenbau liefen ohne Probleme.
2 Teile musste ich nach drucken, da sie beim Zusammenbau beschädigt wurden.

oh, so sorry, I am guessing you were one of the first downloaders. I updated the compliant index for the pushpush and posted it. It is 1v00a3 version. And, it fixes the problem with the push push. I also added a wall mount bracket and a few other updates. If you are interested there are a few notes now at the bottom of the GearBin posting.
Thank you for posting the make!! Looks great.
