CardDock - Auto-aligning CardDeck Holder and Case

Now with hard cases added!

This is a unique card cradle that automatically aligns the cards once they are dropped on the CardDock. The CardDock is also a card case so you have somewhere to keep your deck of cards safe when not in use. A selection of external hard cases are included to protect the CardDock and cards for safekeeping.

The lid can be snapped onto the underside of the CareDock to lift the CardDock up off the playing surface away from spilled drinks and dirt.

This CardDock is made for Standard playing cards (poker/casino) (single deck) approximately 2.5 in. (64 mm) wide by 3.5 in. (89 mm) long and 52 cards stacking to a height of about 0.62 in. (16 mm) high.

100% printed - no hardware, fasteners, or adhesives required. No support is required.

2025-05-10: I have added several hard case options to put the CardDock (and Cards) into.

Printed on my Prusa MK4 in PETG (green) and PLA (black) on 0.20mm structural profile, with input shaping. Works great! Thanks for posting.

Great replacement for a deck with a worn-out tuck case.
This is awesome! Excellent design.
This is a definite improvement over the flimsy box most playing cards come/stored in. I like that they double as card trays! Thanks for sharing!

Uno version Posted.

Do your Uno cards fit this now? And, you just need the deeper version for more cards? I have that and will post it shortly. Also, I will make versions for other card sizes if you need it, please let me know the dimensions.

Could you make one for UNO No Mercy? (Same size, but 168 count) Thank you! The size works perfectly for my regular decks!

Really nice model, works great. As very much not an engineer, I have what is probably a silly question: what does the interlock actually do?

Paul B
logicalplanet

There are no silly questions…. The interlock allows you to snap the bottom of the base to the top of the cover. This effectively converts the cover to a stand.

Matt R
renstrom

I'm a little confused how that works... Do I need to pop the inter-lock out and change it somehow to snap the bottom of the base to the top of the cover

Paul B
logicalplanet

Yes, the interlock has two positions. the first is flush with the base. The second is extended below the base and then it can snap into the top of the inverted cover.

This is some of the best designing i have seen its crazy good. Well done!!! Everything just fits togeter and works amazing the self aligning part is a bit unecesary but its fun and works great

Haha, I know it is so unnecessary but it feels good! Funny how things are like that. Appreciate your comments and feedback. Thank you.

Really nice model! I would also love to have an addon option for keeping the "collecting mechanism" open, that would make it even better to have on the table while playing. I'm not sure how such an addon should be, but if you do have some great idea for it... :)

Interesting idea. I will give it some thought.

has anyone had an issue with the single playing card deck? the top and bottom are loose and they dont stay in the simple sleeve? all the rest worked great, UNO, Bridge ect.

Paul B
logicalplanet

Hi, that sounds unusual. You are the first person to tell me this. I hope perhaps you have mixed up some files but I would like to test it myself to be sure. Can you tell me the exact STL file names you are printing so I can test the same ones?
