This is a magnetic single key holder that can be used to hide a key or just store a key magnetically attached to any metal surface. Unlike the old-school hide-a-key boxes the key in this holder does not rattle around and is easily accessible when needed. It is super compact because it only holds the blade of the key.
I have included two designs to accommodate 10x3mm magnets or 12x3mm magnets. Make sure to use Neodymium magnets. And, I note that these types of 3mm magnets are usually only 2.7mm in thickness and so I have designed for that. The magnets should snap fit into the holder but add a drop of glue if you feel it is needed. I have also included two versions of each of those - one with the “logicalplanet” branding and one without.
Do not add support.
Print Settings:
I have tested this design on multiple printers using PETG and PLA. Print settings can vary significantly between users so please note my settings and let me know if you are having difficulty. I am committed to helping everyone get great print results to the extent I can so please contact me if you are having issues.
Material = I recommend PETG but any material should work.
Nozzle = 0.4mm
Layer height = 0.2mm
Line width = 0.4mm
Wall count = 4 (1.6mm)
Infill = 40%
Ironing = OFF
