This bracket replaces the rubber mat in the cubby at the bottom of the center console. Ten 1/4-20 UNC nuts provide mounting points for accessories like phone holders or radios.
Instructions: Do Not Print In PLA PLA becomes too soft in high temperatures of a car sitting in the sun. PETG or ABS/ASA is recommended. The geometry of this part has been designed for minimal warp. Print at .2mm, 3-4 walls/loops, 20-30% infill. Break away the support/cooling bar by rocking it with plyers. Break away the small supports under the hooks. Use a bolt and 2-3 washers place through the holes to pull the 1/4-20 nuts down into the hex holes(this also ream the holes to clear the bolts). Remove the panel from the car by prying it upward, there is one clip in each corner. Open the clips holding rubber mat. With the mat removed insert the hooks into the slots and place the clips back up though their holes and clip them onto the printed part. Re insert the panel into the car.
Notes:
- Using too long of a bolt will press against the OEM panel and lift the printed part.
- RAM and GoPro have mounts that attach via a 1/2-20 stud.
- A mount for a backseat baby monitor has been upload as a reference of how to mount to the new plate.
