Simple LED Light Bar Enclosure/Stand
Model originally uploaded to Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6246785.
This is an enclosure for an LED light bar to be used as lighting for a photography setup. There is an optional lid in which magnets (4x2mm) can be inserted to keep the lid on the enclosure. With the lid, this enclosure doubles as a small storage container.
There are two different base models. The first is just plain without any holes. The second has three holes to be used with the light-bar-stand-raiser-plug so you can adjust the height that the light bar sits to move the light up higher.
I printed mine with a 0.4mm nozzle and a 0.20mm layer height. No supports or brims should be needed. If you decide to print the top, print it with the magnet holes facing up.
The enclosure will accept light bars that have a maximum depth of 10mm and a maximum width of 41mm. Length shouldn't matter too much. For reference, my light bars in the photo are 205mm in length.
I wrote an article about creating an entire DIY photo booth backdrop setup that utilizes this enclosure along with the amazing Expandable Photo Studio by 3db.creation.
