Gargoyle Door Knocker - Print In Place Halloween Door Decoration!

This model is restricted by licensing terms.

Knock, Knock. Who's there? Gregor!

Gregor the Gargoyle lost his head, but don't worry it is going to good use! This model is a remix of the Gregor the Gargoyle statue from our "Fabled Creatures" collection. This version is a scaled up Door Knocker version. Great to decorate your household for the Halloween season! What better way to get in the holiday spirit than a spooky gargoyle head mounted to your front door? Very inviting for Halloween fun!

This design has 2 versions, a Print In Place design that is all 1 piece. As well as a design with separate parts. The Separate version will fit a wider array of Printer beds and may have a smoother knocking action. Neither design is going to be a very loud knocker, it is more for aesthetics versus functionality. The Separate version requires M3 screws to install the Handle to the Shaft that goes through Gregor's mouth. As of posting I have not printed the "Separate" version and will be doing so today. I have printed multiple of the Print In Place version without issue!

Look out for more releases in the “Fabled Creatures” series for this Halloween (and everyday) season!

To celebrate the holidays, this remix is FREE to you folks! Check out the rest of my premium spooky Halloween designs in my Thangs Member section or shop today!

UPDATED 08/26/2024: V2 was just uploaded which has 2 mounting keyholes instead of just one. They are spaced exactly 60mm apart. This is to make mounting more secure as mine was wiggling back and forth on my door when opening and closing. That's the only change.

Came out great, Thanks!

Needed something to add a bit of blacklight glow to my front door, and realized this would be a perfect example. Just wish I'd realized it a bit earlier so I would have had time to print it even larger.

This is the "separate" version, which I thought might hold up a bit better due to layer placement of the knocker.

Painted in PrusaSlicer. Both colors are PrintedSolid Jessie PLA.

Printed PiP_REDUCED_V2 at 90% scale to fit on print bed. Came out great in Polymaker Dark Grey with variable layer thickness.
My 11 year old painted. And I modified to install lights behind eyes

Done with the head and all I can say is "Wow, Thanks a bunch, Gregor is a bad dude." This model printed up beautifully.
Printed/sanded a bit then hit with a few coats of Rust-oleum with a "hammered" finish. Thin mixed up some red metallic paint with some glow in the dark purple pigment, the effect ended up more blue than I wanted, but I still love how it turned out. Awesome model, I love your work.
Thank you. turned out nice
Printed in CookieCAD Dual Granite Mixer to get the shadow effect.

Purple one is print-in-place version printed on Bambu P1S. The other one is the non-PIP version, printed on Flashforge A5M and then painted black (needs touch-ups).
Came out great, Thanks!
