Bring the beauty of space indoors with this Dodecahedron Planetarium! This is one of many folding prints in my Folding Polyhedra Pack! Print flat, fold, and snap together!


This download includes 3 versions. You can print the entire unfolded dodecahedron as a single print if you have a massive print bed, or you can print it split in half. That's still rather large, so I also made a version with each individual face printed separately. There are small symbols on the inside to guide assembly, which turns it into a bit of a fun puzzle.


Parts snap together. Print at 100% infill and make sure you've got fresh PLA that won't be too brittle (I haven't tried other materials yet).

I don't have any lighting assembly modeled yet. I used my cellphone light in these photographs. Kids will even enjoy simply looking through the inside and spotting constellations that way! (Yes, constellations are included)


Pictured model was printed using Fillamentum Vertigo Grey PLA with concentric external infill.
