Test your haptic senses with the Force Field Puzzle! This 2x2 cube has magnetic faces that attract and repel one another. Figure out how to construct it so all the magnets attract one another. To truly test your sense of feel solve it blindfolded!
This 2x2 version consists of 8 pieces. Use the indications inside of the magnet holes to build the puzzle correctly. Some holes have a dash, while others are blank, to indicate the two different polarities of magnets. Check out my video about this puzzle for some more assembly tips!
Printing Guidelines These parts are designed to be super simple to print using your standard print settings. No supports required, with only some tiny bridges for the magnet holes. For reference, here are the settings I used:
- 0.16mm layer height
- 3 shells/perimeters
- 6 top and bottom layers
- 12% rectilinear infill
Parts Along with the printed parts, I suggest using N52 strength 3mm x 6mm magnets and E6000 adhesive.
- N52 Strength Neodymium Magnets(eBay)
- E6000 Adhesive(Amazon)
The download also includes optional covers that you can glue over the magnets to seal them into place.
