Gift Box #24 This is my fifth season making these gift boxes. They all may look the same from the outside, but each one has a different secret way of opening.

This is a mashup between Gift Box #1 and Gift Box #7 with an additional feature making it a two step puzzle. The bow's connected to the center gear so that when it turns it pushes back both catches similar to gift box #1, with the additional complexity of the planetary gear. Before you can twist the bow though, you have to lift it off detent pins, making it a much harder puzzle to solve. The bow snaps on and off the detent pins with a satisfying snap.
